Browser Extension · v0.3.0

Tailor your CV from any job posting — in one click.

The Figoodle extension reads any job listing — LinkedIn, Stepstone, Indeed, XING, company careers pages — and surfaces company info, verification signals, and a one-click “Tailor my CV” action right where you're already browsing.

What it does

  • Spot suspicious listings before you apply. We check the company against our verified database and against standard EU verification markers.
  • One-click CV tailoring.Click “Tailor my CV” on any posting — the form opens with the JD, company, and position already filled in.
  • Interview prep ready. For known companies, jump straight to research, quizzes, and personalized interview questions.
  • Privacy-first. Page text is sent to Figoodle only when you click — never automatically. No background scraping, no cookies, no analytics pixels.

How to use it

On LinkedIn: Just open any job posting. A small badge appears top-right with company info and a one-click Tailor my CVbutton. If we don't have data on this listing yet, you'll see a small “Analyze this listing →” pill — click only if you actually want to apply.
On any other site: Click the green Figoodle icon in your toolbar → click Analyze this page. Same buttons appear in the popup.

Privacy

The extension only reads page text when you trigger it explicitly:

  • LinkedIn: when you open a job page (the entire point)
  • Other sites: only when you click the toolbar icon → Analyze

Page text is sent to cv.figoodle.com/api/public/extension/analyze for AI extraction. We don't store the raw page HTML — just the extracted company / position / job description, with a 24-hour cache so the same listing across LinkedIn / Stepstone / company website doesn't pay for AI extraction multiple times.

No cookies, no auth tokens, no analytics pixels. Full privacy policy: cv.figoodle.com/privacy.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Figoodle browser extension do?
It reads job postings on LinkedIn, Stepstone, Indeed, XING, Glassdoor, and any company careers page, then surfaces company info, verification signals, and a one-click 'Tailor my CV' action. It also flags listings that don't meet standard EU verification markers (no Handelsregister entry, no legal imprint, recently registered domain) so you can avoid CV-harvesting scams.
Is the Figoodle extension free?
Yes. The extension is free. Some downstream features on cv.figoodle.com (full CV tailoring, interview prep) require a Pro plan, but the extension itself never costs anything.
Which browsers does it support?
Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, and Firefox. The extension is built on Manifest V3 and works on any Chromium-based browser. Firefox install is currently temporary (per session) until Mozilla review completes.
Does it work on sites other than LinkedIn?
Yes. On LinkedIn, the badge auto-appears next to job postings. On any other job site (Stepstone, Indeed, XING, Glassdoor, Greenhouse, Workday, Lever, or a company's own careers page), click the toolbar icon and Analyze. The universal extractor reads page text from any URL.
What data does the extension collect?
Page text is sent to cv.figoodle.com only when you trigger it (LinkedIn auto-trigger on job pages, manual click on other sites). We extract company / position / job description and cache it for 24 hours. We don't store raw HTML. No cookies, no auth tokens, no analytics pixels. Full policy: cv.figoodle.com/privacy.
How does it spot fake or scam job postings?
The extension checks each company against our verified database and against EU verification markers — Handelsregister entry, legal imprint compliance, domain age, contact channel legitimacy. The badge shows 'Known company' (verified) or 'Unverified company' with the specific factual signals that are missing. It never categorically labels a company as 'scam' — only states what we could and couldn't verify.
How do I install it?
Download the zip, unzip it, open chrome://extensions, toggle Developer Mode on, click 'Load unpacked', and pick the unzipped folder. Takes about 90 seconds. Coming to the Chrome Web Store soon.
Is the extension open-source?
The extension code lives in the Figoodle repository. Each release zip is the same code we ship — no obfuscation, no minification, easy to audit before installing.

Troubleshooting

“Default locale was specified, but _locales subtree is missing”
You're on an older version. Re-download the latest zip from this page and reload the unpacked folder in your extensions page.
Badge doesn't appear on LinkedIn
The page may have loaded before the extension. Refresh the tab. Still nothing? Click the Figoodle toolbar icon and use Analyze instead.
Popup shows “This page can't be analyzed”
Some pages (chrome://, the Web Store, PDFs) are off-limits to all extensions for security reasons. Open the actual job posting URL.
“Daily AI budget reached”
Our daily extraction budget hit its ceiling. Try again tomorrow, or contact us — we'll bump it.
